On the second floor, Exhibition Rooms 1–3 showcase a diverse collection,
from rare antique pieces, of which only a few exist worldwide, to works by contemporary artists.
There is also a section that provides a clear and easy-to-understand explanation of the history and structure of kaleidoscopes.

Exhibition Room 1st

Interact with unique pieces
Experience them firsthand by moving and exploring

Exhibition Room 1 features around 20 large and unique kaleidoscopes that visitors can touch and interact with.
While photography is not permitted in most areas, Exhibition Room 1 includes kaleidoscopes and artworks that can be photographed as a keepsake.

*Kaleidoscopes with a blue camera icon can be photographed in other areas as well. Please refrain from taking pictures of other exhibits.

Exhibition Room 2nd

Experience the history of kaleidoscopes
Discover a wealth of rare exhibits

In Exhibition Room 2, rare antique kaleidoscopes are on display, including pieces from Cozy Baker, known as the ""Mother of Kaleidoscopes.""
Highlights include works by Sir David Brewster, the Scottish scientist who invented the kaleidoscope, and Charles G. Bush, the first to use an oil ampule as an object chamber.
The room also features a selection from Momoka Ozaki, Japan’s most renowned kaleidoscope collector.

Exhibition Room 3rd

Interactive kaleidoscopes
for all ages

This room houses around 30 hands-on exhibits, including water-powered kaleidoscopes by the popular artist Durette and display cases that are kaleidoscopes themselves.
The stands are designed to be adjustable, making them easy for both children and adults to view.
Exhibits change with the seasons, so there's always something new to explore.

Exhibition Room 4,5th

The pioneering works of
ceramic artist Teruko Tsuji

These rooms showcase Tsuji’s ceramic kaleidoscopes, along with her paintings, pottery, accessories, and other nature-inspired works, all reflecting her warm and delicate artistic style.

Our first-floor shop offers a variety of kaleidoscopes including DIY kaleidoscope kits, perfect for gifts or home projects.
Collectors will appreciate the works of renowned kaleidoscope artists, as well as pieces by ceramic artist Teruko Tsuji.
